Have you ever thought about what is the primary driver of our economy? Ever looked back and noticed that we appear to go through economic booms then busts?

Transition challenges the idea that we need to get back to economic growth, in conventional terms. Challenges the fact that we are destroying our environment, degrading our soils and seas, and losing the Earth’s biodiversity at an increasing rate. Transition proposes new ways to regenerate the economy by making things much more local, really cutting down on how much our businesses and services depend on fossil fuels. Doing so could bring huge advantages to our local communities, offering the potential for many more skills and local jobs.
